Postal de modelos a elestico ate 25"
I very much enjoyed the enthusiasm of all who flew the Aerobras 'Wasp' recently and would like to encourage the building and flying of this and similar models throughout your winter months, so am offering to sponsor a 'postal competition' here in Voo Livre.
The event will commence immediately - Saturday, February 12th - and close July 31st. I offer a prize of US$50.00, or modelling goods up to that value of the winners choice.
Any rubber powered outdoor modell of up to 25" wingspan - 63cm - is elegible, built from a kit or plan. It must have a cabin or cockpit, a 2-leg undercarriage and a freewheel propellor.
Three flights with a 60 second 'maximum'. If three maximums are achieved then an additional unlimited flight shall be made. A model may be entered and flown more than once and, of course, multiple models may be flown; however each set of flights must be made with a single airplane.
You can fly anytime through the period on any suitable local area to your home and flight timing is on the'honour basis'. Flight scores should be posted to this list and Alvaro has kindly offered to keep a score sheet updated and make any necessary translations..
The purpose of this event - more a 'participation' rather than a 'competition' is to encourage building and flying through the months to come. Many kits in the Aerobras range are suitable and there are a lot of plans of suitable models available on the Internet, such as the 'FA Moth', 'Mini-Hobbies' etc. I would be happy to assist in any way and welcome questions and suggestions.
I look forward to seeing your scores, reports and photographs starting to arrive - go build and fly .. and fly .. and build ... and ... just have a great time!
Enjoy!

Construam e voem ...e voem ...e construam ...e...

Excelent idea Jim!
As i see it´s ok to put balsa and folder props in the projects.
It´s just a nice moment for this "boys" start to carving his own props!
I´m too busy until the end of FAI Worlds but after that i´ll be glad to participate.
Also will spread the news to FF people in Argentina by Facebook.
I´d like to develop some lasercut and Argentinian balsa kit to, maybe a "cometa" or just a lasercuter "wasp" for lazy people like me...
Regards,
Eduardo Yamin

Wow! Created and sponsored by Mr. Moseley, it will be an honor to participate. Certainly with the Wasp, almost finished. If possible until the deadline with the elegants MA Moth and Mini-Hobbies, too.

A question about the rules. A detail, perhaps the result of professional bias.
Where I read: Three flights with a 60 second 'maximum'. I understand that it shall be a series of three consecutive flights. Is that right?
