DragonLink (Novo Firmware)
DragonLink (Novo Firmware)
Segue a nota oficial do Mike.
DRAGON LINK Next Generation Firmware !!!!
We are in the final stages of development of the next generation firmware for the Dragon Link V2 system. [b:7d9bb74251]This is NOT an update, it is a completely new firmware[/b:7d9bb74251] that incorporates everything we have learned over the years. The biggest advantage is that it is incredibly resistant to any type of interference, you will be able to fly anywhere, any time, and with any number of other UHF systems present, and not have a single failsafe. The control link you get should be pretty much unbreakable It will also be more tolerant to onboard interference by equipment on the plane itself, but nothing is magic, so proper design and spacing must still be used. The PPM handling is also improved with increased tolerance to non standard timings, and things like this, everything should just work better. Range is also increased..
The best things is that this update can be done at home using the USB update device. If your TX has a HI / LOW power switch, it is a version 2 and will work perfectly with the new firmware. If your receiver has LED's, or a small white connector under the SMA connector, it will also work with the new firmware. If you do not have the USB update device, you can get it on our website at www.dragonlinkrc.com I urge everyone to update their systems the moment it is available. This new firmware is totally different, and the new firmware is not compatible with any of the present or previous firmware. In other words, every TX and RX you want to use must have the new firmware.
For the first time, I am recommending that everyone using Version one systems move to the Version 2 system. The version 1 systems will not run the new firmware, and it is not possible to upgrade them. Version 1 has been out of production for 2 years now, and all support and firmware upgrades for old Version 1 systems officially ends now. With our present firmware, performance of the two systems, V1 and V2 was much the same, so we never recommended upgrade to V2 if you had a V1 that was working perfectly. Given the incredible performance increase of V2 + Next generation firmware combination, it is well worth going to the V2 system now.
